Donate Blood! Save life!
The UK's blood transfusion service is currently organized into four regional services for the collection and distribution of blood. These are the National Blood Authority (NBA) which runs the National Blood Service (NBS) for England and North Wales, the Welsh Blood Service (WBS) which covers South, East, West and Mid Wales, the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) which is a division of the Common Services Agency for the NHS in Scotland (NHSiS) and the Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service (NIBTS) which is an independent special agency of the Health and Personal Social Services (HPSS).
